Due to the stealth being so easy to pull of in this game and KO nearly everything going. I had a couple of small fire fights with some gangster types, but I mostly knocked those gangster types out. I spent most of the time dealing with people via dull dialogue or just knocking mini hordes of people out with the fun non-lethal bio-charge takedowns. As a Interpol agent it was hard to morally go full criminal murdering robbing stealing scum bag on basically cops and mostly neutral factions.
The story and characters were not very engaging, but the gameplay and the locals were a fun combo even if a lot restrictive at times. The new click to cover system I hardly needed to use, but is a nice option. Combat is ok, but nothing really pulse pounding. I liked using the stealth and secret ways. Why do some things take so many spaces and items need to stack individually like differing alcohol I will never know? Hacking always annoyed me in all the games (love those multi-tools). Like every Deus Ex inventory management is a game logic nightmare. Underneath all that other polish the performance is not good with some on screen stuttering in the open map city area's. On the surface the game is flashy, stylish, slick, well voice acted with high production values. Dont know the reason why this happened but its sad. The main story is probably the big issue, I had interest in it, but unfortunately it is unfinished, there is no Ending, it just cuts halfway the experience in a "thats all?" sensation. Missions and side-missions are good, the world changes in order you advance in the game and the characters are quite interesting and believable. If you find a coverage, you will have the combat practicaly under control most of the time, just aim to the head. Also, IA is practicaly the same as the previous games.
Combat had a little improvement, with new combat augs it is a bit easier to face enemies, unfortunately, the nature of the game and the stealth design scenarios make it quite hard. Graphics are OK, but there are still clunky animations and mediocre face designs, especially David Sariff`s face.
